Vacancies available for full / part time grooms at South West Eventing based at Stockland Lovell Equestrian Centre nr Bridgwater. Short or long term and flexible terms to include some weekends.

All yard duties plus lunging and exercising to suit person with some experience who is confident riding competition horses and able to work unsupervised and take sole charge on occasions. Busy yard with high standards so enthusiastic, fit, hardworking person needed.

Opportunities to come to competitions and receive training in return for work. Possibility of space for own horse. Applicants need to be over 18 years with own transport.

April 2008

Short term working pupil vacancies available over the spring and summer from 2 weeks minimum, with or without own horse. Oppotunity to learn the runnings of a small competition yard with very high standards, help with backing and training youngsters and chance to come to competitions. Regular training given. Applicants need some experience with horses and must be atleast 16 years old. Would be useful to be able to drive/have own car or other transport, but not essential. Willingness to learn and hardworking nature also important. Greatly reduced livery for own horse if needed and flexible terms. Accomodation available. November 2007 Spaces for selling livery available

All horses I have had in for 2007 have sold and I still have clients looking for horses from youngsters to schoolmasters from RC level upwards. If you have a horse you have not been able to sell over the summer, I can offer very competitive rates of only £90/week with a 10% commission on sale. With excellent trial facilities and considerable contacts I can assure that your horse will be shown at his/hers best to prospective buyers with every effort taken to match your horse to the right person. November 2007 Do you have a horse you would like to see competed at low cost to you?

Isobel is looking for further competition rides for the 2008 Event season and can offer generous subsidies. With considerable experience riding a variety of horses, I can promise you 100% dedication to produce your horse to the best of his/hers ability with five star care and individual attention. As an owner I keep you fully informed of all progress and you are welcome to visit your horse whenever you please, come to competitions and become as involved as much or as little as you wish. 1st September - STOP PRESS

From September 1st, South West Eventing will be based at Stockland Lovell Equestrian Centre with a self contained barn with access to wonderful facilities including 2 huge outdoor arenas 50m by 60m with a full set of show jumps, horsewalker and extensive cross country course over 150 acres with fences 1'6" to 3'9" including BE courses Intro to Intermediate. In addition there is tracks over the huge 700 acre farm providing safe hacking without having to venture on the road. The centre hosta a full schedule of events, residential camps and a number of clinics taking place in all disciplines as well as its own on site saddlery, making it an ideal place to base your horse.
